This is nothing new.

And the campaign to "Curb your dog" so that it pooed on the side of the road, not pavement, bags hadn't been thought of.

Not good if you happened to be a mobile car mechanic though, nor if your thing is playing marbles in the gutter, the marbles get pulled up short in it and have to be extracted with a lolly stick and transferred by poking them into your hanky and taken home to be washed. All performed with a peg on the nose.

I agree totally. If I walked into town as a kid if I didn't keep my wits about me I'd be sure to step into dog poo at some stage. It was just one of the ever present hazards. 

There's way less mess around these days.
