Mark all links as 'read'

When I click on 'unread content' there are many threads that I am not interested in.  When I have read what interests me I use a Chrome extension to mark all the remaining topic as 'read'.  This saves time.  It's better than clicking on 'mark site read' as this could mean missing posts that have just been updated.

There doesn't seem to be a way of cancelling a post that one has started anymore either. I just wipe the wording out, come out of it and forget it  now.
