boots
Hi, We have a Liverpool Boats, with Isuzu 35 engine and just about to change the filters. The water separator is a Vetus WS180FE. Rico Europe quote the filter equiv as a Baldwin B587D (http://ricoeurope.com/spin-on-fuel-filters/bf587-d.html) Looking on the inline filters website they quote the equivalent as a FIN-FF30677 (https://www.inlinefilters.co.uk/Filters-Fuel/SpinOn/ThreadUnknown/FIN-FF30677) But not the Baldwin (which they also sell) If I recall correctly, a Baldwin b587 is actually fitted, but want to ensure I replace with the correct one. while there is a significant difference in price between these two, hence would prefer the Baldwin but it is false economy if it harms the engine in any way! Would appreciate any info/experience/recommendations that anyone may have

Paringa
I have the filtermania option off ebay - the only issue you will have is what to do with the saving... Edited to add I think the "D" might mean it comes with a metal drain...worth checking for the boat ticket Edited February 16, 2017 by Paringa

boots
Much appreciated, in that case might stick with the 587, Cheers Edited February 17, 2017 by boots
bighida
The BF587-D will do a job but is not the correct filter - Baldwin themselves will not offer it as an alternative. If you go "Old Skool" the original common reference for the WS180FE was the KC44/1. The BF587-D corresponds to the KC44 NOT the KC44/1.
