In a notice today:

 

Commencing Monday 6th of February or as soon after as circumstances permit the tug Little Shuva will be undertaking ploughing and bed levelling work between Lemonroyd Lock and Pollington Lock. Operations are expected to take two weeks to complete.

 

Little Shuva will start operations at Lemonroyd Lock and will be travelling towards Pollington Lock. Ploughing and bed levelling will be undertaken at the following locations

 

1. Fleet Freight Wharf upstream of Lemonroyd Lock

2. Lemonroyd Lock downstream to Bridge No 9 for a distance of approximately 2Km

3. Ferrybridge Lock downstream for a distance of approximately 650m

4. Shephards Bridge to Cow Lane Bridge a distance of approximately 260m

5. Opposite the Boat Yard Skew Bridge

6. Stubbs Bridge upstream for a distance of approximately 800m

7. Pollington Lock upstream for a distance of approximately 410m

8. Pollington Lock downstream for a distance of approximately 210m

Little Shuva will maintain a listening watch on channel 74. Skippers of all craft are advised to navigate the above areas with caution and be prepared for short delays until the tug and plough can be moved to allow vessels to pass.
