Yes, I had to look up 'pilaster'. Someone architecturally erudite in CRT!

Looks to be some substantial pieces of stonework that have come off the bridge.

 

It's the road bridge by the Green Dragon in Lincoln.

 

A car has run into it and knocked some big stone pillars into the river.

 

Hopefully they will be removed before we are relaunched!

Contractors will be diving to recover bridge pilasters following a recent road traffic accident.

Please slow down when approaching the bridge and follow any instructions the Contractor may give.

Delays will be no longer than 20 minutes.
