I'm on a 50gb plan From EE

 

Just done a speed test,can anybody confirm is it good, or fair

I know it's faster than before with 3.

Good enough id say, you can stream easy with that, web browsing should cause no issues.

 

Where did you do it, try it again out in the sticks and see how it compares if done in a town/city.

I would consider that very good for any general use. I have seen much better download speeds on EE, around 40 MBs. That ping time is good for mobile, which is what you expect on 4G.

Not there to post my results at the moment, but only get around 7mb/s download on EE at my marina and never have any problems streaming Amazon video at 1080p.

For the hell of it I just did a speed test at home, and interestingly the iOS app maxes out a 50Mbs, I don't know why. So even though the broadband is 75Mbs it does not show that. What it does show in that on EE for example it really is very good, and not second class at all, except perhaps in ping time.

Bear in mind speed test result on mobile connections will vary depending on the activity on the mast. If dozens of folk are streaming TV off the same cell, you'll suffer.

I get spoiled on Virgin, which really is fibre into the house unlike others who actually often end up using BT copper for the last 100 or so metres.

 

66mb down, 5.4 up just now.

To be honest you can say the same for fixed internet, particularly cable which at least when we used to have it was notorious for contention.
