Jrtm
Anywhere except rn group to get a national air filter its a round cylinder about 4 - 5 inches long by 4- 5 inches wide. David Mack
Our National doesn't have an air filter or anywhere to fit one - air is just drawn in from below the inlet valves.
Jrtm
My top all needs new fixings as someone has cut and welded diffrent bits to it. Mine has sort of been turned into a mix or national and rn it has bits of both.
DavidLS
All you need is an air intake, no filter needed though it's best to have the inlet facing downwards.
Jrtm
Oh ok just seams odd that i have a box with a removable end and a hole in the side but no filter
Bob Tidy
Some Engines have the top air intake as per RNs Others have a different rocker cover and take the air through a filter box via two manifolds over the inlet valves. David Mack's sounds to have this bit missing. the filter is a washable coconut fibre? pad which should be lightly oiled. I have one but don't know how to attach photo's yet. best view I can find is on the Stockton dry dock site. Bob
