Staff Vacancy; Technical Administrator

Canal World is looking for a Technical Administrator to oversee the operation of the forum.

 

Working alongside the other Site Staff and myself this roll is critical to our success going forwards and therefore it is essential we fill this roll, so please come forwards if are interested or able, or if you know of someone who I could contact directly.

 

The role can somewhat be tailored to the individual, but in principle is likely in include;

• Overseeing the 'back end' of the forum, hosting, site backups, software updates.
• Development and improvement of the site to keep up to date and or add new features.
• Day to day running of the site, including minor technical issues members may have.
• Completion and release of the sites wiki page project some members have been working on.

 

Clearly a significant position of trust, as well as a need to be fairly available in the case of urgent technical issues. The majority of the work can be fitted around every life, with the total hours required being perhaps 25hours per month on average.
