Nivoma
Hi i am new to the forum and trying to find out if anybody on here knows anythingt about Brevo gearboxs?i have a Brevo 106 on my dutch barge made in 1953 and have encountered some problems with it.I have only moved my barge once without to much trouble we did notice that the gearbox wouldnt sit in neutral very well and would slip into gear. We think this was caused now by a worn brake liner or poor adjustment which then has caused a cracked plate.Does anybody on the forum have the knowledge how to adjust the gearbox brake and also know how thick and what material the brake liner should be also recommendations for getting the cracked cast plate welded (this is a specialist job that needs to be done not an average weld job) thanksMark not sure how to put photos up yet as new to the forum but i am able to mail some to you if needed.
