17Tomodachi
I have seen advertised for sale a 62 foot tug-style narrowboat built by Equinox in 1998 at Tooleys Yard in Banbury. I have found little information about Equinox following searches on the 'net. Does anybody have any experience of the builders, the quality and specifications of their boats and whether they are still in business? Many thanks. Hello I thought Tooley's closed in 1995 and it was run by Barrie Morse at that time. The only Equinox Boatbuilders I've heard of are down the K&A. At Devizes, I think. Edited to say: Found them!:- EQUINOX BOATBUILDERS LTD Mount Pleasant Yard White Street Market Lavington, Nr Devizes, Wilts SN10 4DP 01380 818999 Edited April 2, 2007 by carlt

Many thanks. the boat was probably built by Eddie Beezley at Tooleys in Banbury. the equinox name and order book was sold to Colin (surname unknown) and the business moved to Devises. Eddie previously worked for Barry Morse at Tooleys and built a few boats there. they are all good solid boats and have a good reputation. do you know the registration (ce number) this may help. if you forward it to me i will see if i can dig up any more history on that boat. best regards Paul. (friend of Eddie B.... but havnt seen him since he moved up north somewhere!!!)
