Huge gusts in Nottingham since about 6 this morning. Glad we are off the Trent which is high.

Here in Newark we had the hugest gust yet earlier with a significant roll and creaking ropes. Quite sheltered here in Kings Marina so must have been bad elsewhere

Sorry Keble.

ST, you are nowhere near Rutland according to your post - is a "Rutland" nice and woolly like a Shetland, or some piece of technical kit perhaps?

Martin, looks as if I'll be giving you a wave some time this afternoon as you pass my house then, unless you plan to moor at Outwell basin or Upwell staithe tonight.

Am moored up at Denver sluice planning to go through to Salters lode on the mid morning tide. Could have picked a better day but the wind is not too bad now.

I would go have a drink at the Jennings Arms

Hi Athy,

I'm planning on heading to March but it will depend on what the weather throws at me. I'm in no rush so if it gets t wet and windy I'll moor up.

Oh and Rutland is a brand of wind turbine.

Just out of curiousity can a 70+10 navigate round the fens
