There were many books prepared for David & Charles that did not make it into print. 

For example what happened to the Shropshire Union Canals by H R Robinson?

With S .R Broadbridge his early death may have precluded the completion of a volume 2, yet there remains the issue what happened to his research material. Was this lost= but is still out there somewhere? Did it pass into the archives of where he worked? Or was it lost like so many projects have been- that is into the skip or dustbin.
