Howdy all.

In leeds till tuesday afternoon for a conference at the Royal Armories. Is there any particularly busy bits, ideally suited for gongoozlers? Is anyone floating around the city centre at present?

Sorry to disappoint Duncan but the busy bits of this canal are well away from Leeds. There is a ridiculous shortage of visitor moorings in Leeds which means boaters are discouraged from boating there.

There should be a few boats around Clarence Dock by the Armouries. Probably all moored up. If you fancy a wander along the river going upstream you will come to River Lock and Office Lock, with Granary Wharf between. There may be some boats there.

Any action, consisting of boats going through locks, will depend on whether you are lucky enough to be there at the right time!

If you are only there until tomorrow afternoon then you are unlikely to have enough time to nip out to Bingley to see the Five Rise Locks, unfortunately.
