Table for small NB

Hi- we have a small narrowboat and would like a small table for dinner and working on the computer. I've seen some wall mounted drop down ones from Amazon and IKEA. I've also seen on a hire boat before, one that had an aluminium frame that could be adjusted up and down and also the wooden top folded down

 

What options are available and can you reccomend any suppliers?

Have a scout about on ebay too - I managed to bag a folding drop leaf table (that would probably be too big for you boat but there are loads on there) for around £20 from memory. It was returned damaged item with a minute almost un-noticeable dent in one edge.

 

We use one side when there is just two of us eating and both when there are more.

 

It was a perfect match for the wood finish on the inside of our boat. The retail prices was normally nearly £200!!

Depends on available space, ..you could have a desmo type table made (or make one up yourself) or have a hinged and supported wall mounted one made. You could also look at somewhere like CAK tanks ( http://www.caktanks.com/CAK_Furniture_Fittings_Tables.htm )who can supply all kinds of fittings for any kind of table you may want more or less. E Bay too.

Making a wall mounted flap up one would be fairly simple with a good hinge...maybe piano hinge...a table top and a swing out bracket...bought or made.

You could try a caravan accessory shop. Though NB seats can tend to be a bit high for them. I made up a small table for one caravan with a Desmo leg, a surface female mount for under the table top and a recessed female mount in the floor.
