Athy
You really have stuck with the job, Lex. I applaud both your skill and your patience. If I may wander off topic, though it is related: there was a chap on here who was having a very traditional boat built and doing much of the work himself. He used to report to the forum more or less weekly, with photos and very readable descriptions of his progress or, sometimes, lack of same. I recall he had a beard (doesn't narrow it down much on here, I know) but can't remember his name; Steve perhaps? Anyway, I haven't seen anything from him for some months - is that because he's finished the boat?

The forum thread is at http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=32957 and his blog is at http://nbsiskin.co.uk/ He hasn't been online here since July 2014, and neither has his blog been updated since then.
