I'd post some of ours but it looks scruffy in comparison.

Don't you mean used more often than polished.

has the engine just come off a pallet?

Yes :D

Well actually a few years ago, long before my time. The photo was taken when I first got the boat and it had sat idle for 2 or 3 years, hence the rust and flaky paint (and clean exhaust wrap) It's much tattier now but the aircleaner is still nice and shiney B)

Just to keep things real, a scruffy 2LW that actually does some work rather than languishing on a pallet somewhere!! :D

;) Thats not scruffy, just a little used. Below is a scruffy one, this is what 60 years in a sampan in Hong Kong does to a 2LW and yes it did run happily in this state.

Oh and PS this is the same engine pictured at the very top of this thread

Yep that is one of Mine,

Although I must add I am not responsible for the alternator belt guard... IMO as much as a Gardner LW and Krmohout one is virtually identical other than a few external bolt on bits I believe they should be badged correctly as what they are, so that guard should have Kromhout on it not Gardner.

Looks like a nice engine room installation though. I wondered if the owner had finally got the boat all finished.

Nice one Martyn. I'm guessing this is your (Kromhout) 3LW rebuild spotted in one of Steve Hudson's Crick show boats
