Was thinkin of headin into Chester so where is a good place to moorin the heart of the city?

Are the moorings at the mill hotel ok or are we headin into 'bandit territory' like other boaters have said to us?

We didn't make audlem after all; next time.

Hi Tullz

 

If you want to tackle the staircase, then the Basin by the Telford Warehouse is ok - I've never had a problem there. If you don't fancy the staircase, I've also moored without problems just past the Cow Lane Bridge. You are right in the middle of Chester, and you can moor opposite the old people's home. The stretch before the bridge can be pretty noisy at night as there are several pubs and clubs along there.

Hi

We always stop before Frodsham Bridge, within easy reach of the town.

No end of take aways and a large supermarket.

There is a bar / resturant next to the bridge but we have never had any trouble from it.

Be careful if you wind there - its very shallow.
