Lady A
Would like to have a portable TV antenna for picking up freeview tv on my boat. Don't want an ugle looking household antenna but have notcied that some boats seem to be using a small flat unit about 4 inches square during a recent trip on the Oxford canal. Any ideas please. Martin We use two aerials depending on signal strength. One is a strange vertical aerial which we have mounted on a piece of ply to sit flat on the roof. It's this one http://www.12vtv.co.uk/pro_detail.asp?id=49 It works really well in some places e.g Calcutt Marina. The other is on as big a pole as we can put up in the air and is better in poor signal areas. This is one of these http://www.roadpro.co.uk/retail/product_de...BLE&id=1084 Having said that even this one can't get freeview below Calydon Locks. This site enables you to predict if you'll get a signal at your current location and aerial height - http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tvd.exe?DX...p;OS=SP+464+437 Cheers Graham
