tangysheep
Greetings all! Has anyone come across a locking fuel cap to replace a standard brass deck fitting. Thought it might be a good idea with regards to the future fuel prices. Many thanks Steve

It was quite simple to make one with two small padlocks, so that is what I did.

Will this pass the BSS? The dam is there to prevent fuel spilling into the boat during refueling, drilling a hole in it makes it useless.

A small bung permanantly attached to a chain should be enough to pass the BSS.

The bung sounds like a good idea just in case the inspector has a bad day though.
Pie Eater
One of our club members bought one earlier this year. I not sure but I think they got it from Puffer Parts. It comes complete with a padlock and is designed to fit on the existing brass fittings. Steve
