Hi, I have an Isuzu 4LC38 which only has an overtemperature switch fitted. Does anyone know where I can fit an addtional temp sensor? Also does anyone know what thread the switch is? Thanks Dave

I had this problsem at the ape of Good Hope. The water point above the locks is 3/4 bsp and the one below is somewhere between 1 and 3/4 bsp. It is a new bollard (still had its protctive film on the steel) and nobody had a fitting to fit it. I reported it to CRT in June but have no idea if anything has been done, probably not.

This was in the Warwick area. Not continuous moored boats. I found it easy to slow down when passing. I agree about slow rather than tick over. At tick over we hardly move. I was probably using as a way of saying quite slow. This area is mainly concrete edges directly to a gravel path and it is difficult to get the pins to grip as they tend to move in the gravel.

I moored there because I was on a set of bollards with two boat lengths behind me and a winding hole before the bend and a bridge and the canal was very wide at this point. Not too close I think.

Whilst in the subject of boatine etiquette. Does anybody slow down to tickover for moored boats on the Grand Union. Most people seem to be coming past at high speed and pulling out the pins, making no effort to slow down at all. We even had a Black Prince boat (Pip) come past at full throttle, hitting us and then the bank by a bridge trying to turn the bend. Rant over. Dave

i went through Wast Hill tunnel yesterday. 2493m is 1.55miles. At 2mph this is 46mins. At least get the maths right.

It's happening up here on the Worcester Birminhgham canal. This was replaced with a nice shiny blue one. I took the original picture becuse I saw two CRT people with a tape measure. One to measure and one to write it down I presume. Even better the no fishing signs have been replaced. They didn't spot the post was rectangular when they made the new ones. The piece ow wood fitted as a spacer is only ply, so unless it's waterproof it won't last long. As usual it's nice to know my money is being spent carefully.

Have you tried feeding the PI from the battery pack whilst the battery pack is in charge?

But in most switches the moving spring usually has a contact on both sides so that contact on one side stays unused until the wire is moved over.
