  1. Where do i start ... well i recently did an oil filter/oil change on my BMC 1.5 , simple enough you would think?! (with a little help from the oil filter thread) everything seemed to go well ..ok i had knocked the engine temp gauge wire but shouldnt have caused to many problems. I went to turn her over and there was a click from the starter motor and a bit of smoke from behind the control panel. Ok i had the engine running just before the oil change and was fine . RCR came out and apart from the seemingly obvious the starter was sticking or kaput, but they couldnt work out the problem with the wiring as it kept burning out and advised i get a sparky in. Thing is everything was fine before the oil change... coincidence? Regards Ollie

  6. I have a problem. I have to do an oil and filter change on my BMC 1.5. Some good posts on this thread and the info has been taken onboard. However the way my engine bay is and more to the point the way the engine sits in the bay there is no way i can get down to the sump nut without taking half the engine apart i dont think :/ (thinking i might be able to if i remove the oil filter?) Would there be any other way of draining the sump ? Thanks for any replies in advance Ollie
  7. Crikey Rache... cant help from here, but seems like you have plenty anyways. Bloody boats eh!! Hope 2012 gets better for you. Regards Ollie x
  8. Thanks for the replies ... i actually met a nice chap today at a lock who introduced himself as ' are you looking for a good pub in middlewich ? ' after seeing this post, anyway we had a chat and he recommended the Kings arms/head?. The british legion sounds like it might be worth a look as im ex squaddie but dont like the sound of 'local place for local people' Skip

  10. As per the title. Is there any decent pubs for a drink and a bit of grub around the big lock area of the Trent and mersey at Middlewich? Thanks for any replies . Regards Skip

  12. Ive been at Tattenhall 18 months and would rather live with the odd pain in the bum walking through every now and then than live in a prison for a marina. There is a a electric barrier at the entrance then its surrounded with farm land for miles. Bit of a hijack sorry
