  1. Good evening. There is a chance that I may end up with a job in Stockport and the commute from Derby would be miserable if I had to do it every day. One option therefore is to move our boat in that direction. Are any of you able to recommend a marina close to Stockport (preferably with spaces) that I may consider. Many thanks, Matt
  2. I have recently acquired a Bolin 12v circulation pump to replace my existing, noisy pump which is plumbed into a standard 15mm copper pipe via rubber tubing. The Bolin has a grey 22mm Hepworth screw threaded collar on both input and output. What should I use to attach this to the existing rubber pipe?

  5. You are quite right...I'll guess that you are a big lad then! The difficulty with the hierarchy of rights is that the hierarchy will vary from one person to another. I've seen people feeding a slot machine all night and then throw a tantrum when they step away, someone else puts a quid in and wins the jackpot. They believe that their right to continue feeding the machine all night is greater than anyone elses right to put a quid in when the machine looks abandoned. In terms of your right to walk along a tow path compared to my right to walk along the tow path with my dog off lead I see those two rights as being fairly equal. As I said earlier if you had your dog on a lead or stopped to put it on then I would do similarly. If you were without a dog then I'd probably leave Twm as he was.

  7. Oh! Would you! Please? Would I have to pay before or after?
  8. OK...the wife's going to have a lovely surprise tonight!
  9. Of course I will, since you asked so nicely. Does the inspection include a tasting?
  10. I never realised that there was a hierarchy to people's personal rights? Is there a scale against which a right may be measured?
  11. Thanks for that. What I shall do then is also get a jerrycan of DERV and chuck it all in. I may also drain the existing crap from the regulator and then see if it returns.
  12. We are moored at Mercia so I've instructed my wife to stop at Midland Chandlers to buy a bottle of Fuel Set. At less than a tenner it's certainly worth a try before I try draining the tanks etc. (Even cheaper if she doesn't ask for the money back! )
  13. And also, why would anyone want a dog that didn't act like a dog? If you want something to carry in your handbag then buy a stuffed toy. Let your dog sniff other dogs arses if he wants to, it's what dogs do! Our dog spends as much time as possible off lead and I take my cue from other dog owners. If I am approaching someone it is usually clear by how they react with their dog as to how I should react. If their dog is on lead then I shall reciprocate but if they leave theirs off lead then I shall also.
  14. The filler is above (well above and slightly to the side) of one of the bow lockers in the lip created by the continuation of the gunnel. It is of the brass, screw in variety. So, yes, the filler is exposed to the weather, etc although there are no rubber seals. The hose is then attached below the gunnel so I suppose that it's possible that there may have been some ingress here.
