Hi, we have been trying to sell our liveaboard narrowboat for the past 6 months but although 5 offers, none actually bought from the wharf where she is (but that is a whole new topic). Now have been asked if we will rent her for 6 months on a legal contract etc. Can anyone advise re rental , deposit anything really. We do need some cash as still paying her licence and trying to visit her frequently to keep her up together...help

This thing is KDE 6700TA, have absolutely no idea as came from Cambridge off e bay!!! This maybe cause of divorce. Used for one day when a piece flew off into canal a rectifier???? Now has to be used via batteries. It is noisy +++++. We are currently moored for a few days next to loads of other boats and I would not like to use it until we move where there are no boats too close. Need to change my name to Desperado.

Thanks for all replies. This is causing endless rows/heated discussions with husband!!! 1. Agree re kipper, or yellow peril which, if it was not so heavy, I feel like tipping into canal. £450 under a year ago!!!! 2. 12v flat screen telly is a Swisstec. It is at the other end from batteries (57ft boat) and he has been told that wiring is not heavy enough so that voltage is lost by the time it reaches telly??? 3. Any ideas please where to buy lead with 12 volt plug. This boat is a money pit.

Hi, got 6kw generator KIPOR bought by husband which is horrendous and noisy. Little compact zanussi w machine will not go thro programmes unless I sit and flip programmes across. Been told by someone that Zanussi's do not work thro generators. Any ideas???? Also, what do I need to work 12v telly without engine on. Do not have invertor. Do not use generator in evenings for obvious reasons, or engine...... Things are not going so well here.... Only need w machine once per week, but telly would be good. Oh yes, and how do I charge laptop up??? Thanks Purdey

We cannot understand what a leisure mooring is. Pix look as tho bird houses, sheds and liveaboards, but not residential. What is a leisure mooring?????? Keep getting e mails, but they look as tho people live there??? Dunno, anyone help?? Cannot afford this marina forever.....

Thanks for that. Will prob go that route, only one word and on flat panel, so maybe a curly also!! Next task is to take tibetan prayer thingy (we have tibetan terriers/terrorists) and get made into large transfer for other panel. Not clever enough to do myself. Any ideas gratefully received.

Hi, we have just booked ours into Hillmorton Locks canal centre. Went to look and they were very helpful and friendly. Two boats in at the time we were there, and they looked good. We are neweys, however. We can stay on and have plug in electric.

Thank you v much for this, it looks marvellous. Husband, however, is not keen and cannot see how it can be done when our bed is in centre of boat. We are not agreeing so at present am doing nothing, again. He thinks it would be hassle to make up each night (hassle for who, I wonder??) Back to the blasted drawing board again. I also think you are queen of storage.
