  1. Plan going forwards includes a little more work to the Eberspacher heater as I need to fit a new vent in the saloon. I've also renewed some of the pipework as it was getting a little corroded. I have some new lights for the saloon roof as the others were too small and therefore not bright enough. Then there is a little more trimming and fettling to do of wall lining and edging strips around carpets. Then it'll be time to start on the galley and woodwork
  2. A few new battery jumper leads as old ones were a little thin at 16mm. New ones above I made from 50mm Alternator removed from the port engine for a new rectifier and general clean up. Look at that engine - and that's only one!! A little more new headlining working forwards now. And a few new 5w LED light fittings. Helm area carpeted with some nice shiny edging Helm seat to be sent off for some nice leather covering at some point! And the saloon curtains just requiring a hem on the bottom edge.
  3. Lots been going on! Will endeavour to get some more pics this week but we are reaching completion of the interior! Exterior stuff will now wait until next year as it's too cold
  4. At long last! The sofas are in Also managed to get a photo of the new boat name graphic. Shame the flippin' ladder is in the way
  5. Been having a few small electrical problems just of late. Very high swr reading on the iCom vhf. Turns out the set is faulty so this has got to be sent back this week for repair. Also moved one of the 32a shore power sockets are wired in a galvanic isolator however I've found a stray mains cable that was live! Need to trace this bad boy back as it's bloody dangerous! One of the screens got a little damp so that needs to go back for exchange. Other than that, furniture has been ordered so hopefully by the start of July we should have some nice comfy sofas! I've given the canopy canvas a good clean and will hopefully get a chance to start applying the fabsil re-proofer today. Only a very small split that'll need stitching up. Stainless steel framework will need polishing up and new nuts and bolts before it can be put back together. New boat graphic has been put on the transom. Carpets are back from the whippers so they have a nice tough edge on now to stop fraying. I've also managed to carpet the stairs, Just waiting on some carpet edging and a little more carpet for the helm. Lots done but lots more to do. Glad they're all little jobs now but it is easy for them to stack up!
  6. Bit of a random one! I am thinking of fitting one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ceiling-Mounted-Cassette-Air-Conditioning-/152096043083to my boat as it was up to 45c today! and it isn't even "summer" yet. Where would be the best place to locate the condenser? All electric is in place and I have 63a 3 phase at my disposal so lots of power
  7. Been making the most of the nice weather. Wet sanded the old scruffy name off the stern - this is now ready for polishing and a nice new vinyl decal. Also started removing the old vinyl pin stripes from the upper sides. What a job! Both sides done. Just the front to do however these are baked on hard! I can then wet sand and polish both sides and front. I doubt I'll do the hull until it comes out the water in a year or so.
  8. Getting there... Side panel and wall covered in van liner... Close up... Carpet roughly cut and laid. It needs rolling up and sending away to have the edges whipped (bound) to stop fraying.
  9. Been so busy with work! Only had a few hours here and there. Have been slowly getting remainder of port side foam backed material off ready for re-carpeting. The GRP repair man has come and looked at some old screw holes and scuffs that need sorting. New floor carpet has arrived but I don't want to fit this until I've finished carpeting port side wall. More pics to follow!
  10. No dishwasher...... yet! I'm not going to do the kitchen until the summer. I want to get the remainder of the saloon and 2nd bedroom sorted first!
  11. Just wondering if anybody knows where I should be looking to get 3 of these made, or the trim to make them myself! As you can see the old ones are in bad shape and we also have new carpet to go down now. Thanks!
  12. Looks like we were spotted too http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:3958695/mmsi:235031723/vessel:SHES%20GONE%20AWAY
  13. So where do I start! Picked up at 7am on Monday morning and dropped into the water. Immediately set off from Brixham for fuel. After fuelling we then ended up in Poole for the night. Tuesday's adventures will follow shortly!
  14. Getting there! Only a few more weeks until launch! Garmin radar has arrived along with the mounting bracket. Remaining nav lights and a whole load of safety stuff (life jackets, flares, etc) are here. I need to arrange a dry bag to keep on board. I had the water pump burst for the fresh water tank which was mildly annoying so I have got hold of a SHURflo Aqua King II Supreme 5.0 which appears to have a bit of grunt behind it I'm next on board on the 21st April to finish off ready for launch on the 25th
