  1. What drone did you use, Mavic pro? lovely footage by the way.
  2. I've still got my windless holster Peter, your welcome to it, it wont go around my waste.
  3. this chaps quite entertaining
  4. Nice looking boat, she doesn't look like she smells either ! I bought my boat Tara from ABNB in Crick, can't recommend them highly enough
  5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  6. Indeed Peter, the first day under the supervision of an expert (ex hotel boat skipper) was invaluable and I would recommend it to anybody.
  7. In the Marina @ 7.30 pm up date to follow night night all
  8. Arrived at Devizes town center at !0 am, moored up on a 48 hr visitors mooring so if Harry doesn't get here on time we can set off tomorrow morning, its been an epic trip so far, I can't believe we are nearly there. Tara's picked up a few scratches and left a lot of blacking at various places on the way but not feeling so precious about her as when I first left Crick, she still floats and still looks good that's the main thing, who needs tv anyway!
  9. Thanks cuthound, plan to leave All Cannings at 7.30 am so I hope to reach the top by then. Kebie, thats useful to know but I cant even get the television to turn on now.
  10. do you think we'll get to the bottom if we leave devizes tomorrow lunch time?
  11. Sound advise Peter, an old friend of mine has offered to meet me in Devizes tomorrow lunch time, he will leave his car at Caen Hill marina and meet me somewhere on the canal above the flight. Harry's a salty ole sea dog and an owner of a 42 ft yacht moored in Portsmouth and he's thinking of selling her and buying a narrow boat for an easier life....little does he know !
  12. I cannot thank Peter and Henhouse enough for there kind help, yesterday must have been a nightmare for them, it absolutely hissed it down, There was no way I could have got this far on my own. I have cruised to bridge 128 at All Cannings and have stopped for lunch and a cup of tea at the visitors moorings here, I am considering stopping the night and continuing in the morning, hopefully this will give me enough time to get to the marina at lower Foxhills by Thursday. I know Peter will be reading this, what do you think Peter, shall I press on or get some rest?
  13. I think the Chichester canal has a sea lock
  14. Thanks Ken, my feelings of trepidation are slowly diminishing Paul
