  1. ...it appears, from recent communications, I've had from "CaRT o' Cr*p" Regional Management, that they still have my personal details including my mobile phone number & email🤔 Are they allowed to do this??🤔🤔 I would have thought, they should have deleted my personal details, on closing my account with them, after I sold my narrowboat 5 years ago, and claimed the remainder of my licence back, which I might add, they held back £30, in admin fees😱 Or in other words, when the Civil Law Contract: Me+Them+Licence Fee as Consideration, came to an end then, they no longer had a justifyable need to require my personal deatails ie. billing address. The Information Commissionsers Office Website states the following: You must not keep personal data for longer than you need it. You need to think about – and be able to justify – how long you keep personal data. This will depend on your purposes for holding the data. You need a policy setting standard retention periods wherever possible, to comply with documentation requirements. You should also periodically review the data you hold, and erase or anonymise it when you no longer need it. You must carefully consider any challenges to your retention of data. Individuals have a right to erasure if you no longer need the data. You can keep personal data for longer if you are only keeping it for public interest archiving, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes. https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/principles/storage-limitation/ It appears to me, that "CaRT o' Cr*p" have breached all of these points and that "MY PERSONAL DATA" has been mis-used and not for the first time!!😱
  2. Over the last 12 months or so, this is what Canal & Rivers Trust have mis-managed, within 100 metres of where I now live: POINT 1: For some reason, only known to CaRT Management, since last November, they have been allowing some of their ground workers, to use commercial fleet vehicles for commuting, to and from home, to their local yard at Etruria Locks, which I might add, is only a quarter of a mile away (quicker to walk!). I complained to CaRT about this, initially, as a complaint about inconsiderate parking. The blocks of apartments where I now live are leasehold, and oversized commercial vehicles are not allowed to be parked here. The next I heard from CaRT, was an early evening telephone call, from the driver of the vehicle, who was drunk, threatening to destroy my livelyhood! I contacted CaRT again, to complain about this, and a local Ground Works Manager telephoned me, to say that they could not take any diseplinary action, because the driver was not at work when he made his threat! I didn't contact the Police about this incident, as it may have only enflamed matters! POINT 2: Below is a photo of a boat that was reported to CaRT, last December (2020), by myself and countless others, as it had overstayed its 2 week allowance, & was also moored to a Lock Landing. It sank just before Christmas 2021 and remains in-situ... To Conclude: During my 5 years as a live-a-board boater, the only dealings I had with CaRT, was when I occasionally overstayed, "at a place" by a week, due to bad winter weather (harassment) and when I sold my boat, they took a £30 admin charge (fraud), to refund the remainder of my licence. Funny how CaRT only ever seem to take any action, when it is from the comfort of their centrally heated offices, and when any real problems arise, especially with their own employees, they turn a blind eye. CaRT: Corrupt As Ever, Just Like The Government, They Were Spawned From!!
  3. Hi "Mike the Boiler Man", can you take a really good look at my Avatar & tell me what you think...and ideally...kiss it!! x x
  4. ...the refund was for the licence, not the mooring, which was paid up to the date i left....systems don't think, they are programmed...eh.."system 4-50"...he-he-he-ho-ho-ho...
  5. When you come to sell you boat & after you have exchanged with your buyer, you, the seller, can reclaim any full months of unused Licence time, in the form of a refund. CRT seem to think that a Refund Administration Charge of £30, for pressing a few buttons, is acceptable, i, however, do not!! For example, if i bought an item from a shop, as long as i return it, in a saleable condition and within a reasonable time frame, of say 30 days, i will get a full refund, as per the "Sales of Goods Act". Additionally, CRT have already made a tidy amount of money by only refunding, full months of remaining licence. So, as for CRT's Admin Charge, this appears to be yet another way in which CRT & there staff seem to think they can screw more money out of the people that keep them in business, so that they can sit on their damn back sides all day, finding excuses not to do anything remotely positive or productive, such as lubricate the working gear on the locks, so that boats can keep moving...they carn't even be bothered with basic maintenance of the canal system. No doubt i'll get lots of posts that completely miss the point i'm trying to make, saying that i have a "hidden agenda"...there is no hidden agenda its called standing up for our rights as human beings!! The canal system belongs to "everybody" and we pay monies to CRT to manage & maintain "our" system, but all we get in return is "DEATH TRAP FACILITIES @ FESTIVAL PARK MARINA" which FAILS CRTs "DUTY OF CARE" & also comes under "WILLFUL NEGLECT". They seem to think they can wash there hands because a thrid party is responsible for the maintenance of the facilities there. Think again CRT you are the Primary Party and ultimately responsible for that facility. And it can get to the stage where facilities are past the point of maintaining because they are that decrepit!! The best they can do is send data collectors out, at licence payer cost. In my experience of boating for the last five years all this has done is alienate people, and made them anxious, depressed & paranoid, for what is supposed to be a leisure activity!! The FACT IS policing, anything, costs more to administer than it will ever recoup!! Well done CRT i really do wish you well in your endevours to chase people off the cut, you will undoubtedly be the vitims of your own "success" and do yourselves out of a job, not that any of you really know what the defintion of work is...so i've put it here for you..."something that is done"...and you do nothing, but run the place down!! Goodbye forever, the place i live now, is fantastic, because the people here are forward thinking, compassionate, human beings, that don't treat people like slaves, like you do in the UK!!
  6. ...so that it ca n fall down again!! x x
  7. ...the pontoons are BEYOND repair...additionally, why should i have to repair something that doesn't belong to me & that i pay fees for to be maintained/replaced, if i or the other moorers complain we will be asked to leave...why should i leave, i've already invested over £2000 in the place by way of mooring fees... ...because if i do, i will be asked to leave, & moorings, like on the rest of the canal system, are very hard to come by...
  8. ...unfortunately, if i "complain" about they facilities i will be asked to leave, the same goes for the other moorers here...i don't want to move, why should i, i've paid all my fees...the location is good for me, just not the DEATH TRAP FACILITIES...
  9. ...the moorings are BEYOND maintaining...instead of replacing the DEATH TRAP facilities, CRT would sooner spend the monies generated from moorings, licenses & boat safety certificates on useless entities such as Richard Parry & his fellating cronies!!
  10. ...moorings arn't exactly easy to come by are they... ...moorings arn't exactly easy to come by are they...
  11. CRT - 1st Party Black Prince - 2nd Party, they run a hire base from here, they are mainly responsible for there half of the facility, but take mooring & electric fees, the manager is paricularly obnoxious, and only has one primary objective which is to make as much money for himself & Black Prince as possible... Marine Services, Chirk - 3rd Party - responsible for the maintenance of the "private" moorings/pontoons... ...pointless question really CRT are the primary responsible party for the entire facility...
  12. ...i have owned a narrowboat for almost 5 years... ...i have always paid my licence in full & on time... ...along with insurance & boat safety certificate etc etc... ...i have been at my current mooring for just over a year... ...it costs me approximately £2000 per year, JUST for the mooring... ...this facility was build a little over 30 years ago... ...since then NOTHING on site has been upgraded, renewed or even maintained... ...some of the pontoons on the other side of the marina were condemned last year after people had fallen through the rotten timbers & into the water & silt... ...I have spoken to the owners, CRT, about this and other REAL health & safety concerns, however they seem to think that they can lay the blame & dilute responsibility on a third party company that is supposed to maintain the facilty, but never does, or it reality the facilities have gone past the point of being maintained!! ...do any other boat owners have similar problems/experiences with CRT facilities...if so, i'd like to hear about it!! ...WE ARE ALL PAYING FOR THIS & CRT SHOULD BE HELD TO ACCOUNT!!
  13. ...The Canal Festival @ Etruria Junction, The Sun Kissed Potteries...YEAH!! ...was a good event, pity it didn't carry on a little later into the evening, there was a beautiful sunset... ...trying to locate the Mad Hatters Boat on Facebook or any other means... ...she makes wonderful bespoke hats she weaves... ...I'm looking to get a hat commissioned, by her... ...help me please fellow boaters!!
