I'm on the G&S, and I absolutely love the industrial architecture of the Gloucester Docks. Its a big part of why I stayed here. But - on one of the new bridges there is an excellent painting of Einstein, done with spray cans. I love that too. I'd hate to see it on the beautiful original dock warehouses, but personally I don't like the look of the new bridges, so think the painting improves it. It's all relative (excuse the pun). I think modern art is bloody awful, but I love to look at the Cistine Chapel. All comes down to your personal taste I reckon.

I saw something recently that pointed to the CaRT's new places definitions website, that told you exactly where the 14 day moorings start and stop. But I just can't find it now!Can someone point me to it please? Thank you kindly!

I prefer curls and have a gas curling tong. Really good heat in very short time, gas straighteners would be ideal. AND you can move around the boat without a cord restricting how far. I much prefer the gas tongs to electric ones now.

Morning! I'm collecting my narrowboat tomorrow, just wondered if someone could advise of the following. I need to find: Parking next to the canal, at a point where I can moor very close, in order to transfer all my stuff on board. Preferably fairly close to where the boat is now (Gloucester Marine Services, its on Google maps as A & D Marine) Also, as I want to spend a few days on the canal seeing the sights, I need somewhere safe to park the van for a few nights. Surely they've moved on since the 18th? And anyway why would fish cause a closure? If you look quietly into the water there are fish everywhere!

The screws are the wrong sizes for mine, I tried them from 3 different cheapie shops! Go to Specsavers or Vision Express type shop, often they'll repair it for nothing, in the hope to get your custom at test time (did that too!)
