Changes to our Site Chat   05/04/17

Invision Power Services Inc, the developers of our forum & chat software will be retiring the existing Chat functionality of the site as of May this year. (You may read more about this here) As such, we are in the position of finding an alternative solution given we believe that our chat functionality still has a place on Canal World. We're currently trialing out new "Chatbox" software on the site which you may view both via the bottom of the main page or by clicking "Chatbox" at the top right of the page. We appreciate the design & functionality is different though we welcome your feedback.

  1. Where are you? My son in law does them.
  2. I like it. Linework looks thick and uneven Though. I wouldn't let him near my skin.
  3. Any solicitor who deals with claims will do. It's a judge who understands you should hope for. If it's a complex case then I doubt there will be any "no win, no fee" solicitors, so expect to pay. County courts are not cheap if it goes to trial.
  4. Glad you're ok Martyn....
  5. I got 12 from PB. Fast turnaround times. Nice bloke and service.
  6. Nice to meet you too nightwatch. It's nice to put faces to names. Dave n Michelle
  7. Flashlight should be fine. You can see the other end of preston brook as you enter. It's a straight run. No bends as such. I'll be in the boat behind nightwatch. Just been through also. ...go through on the hour...about fifteen mins to exit other end. You'll be fine. Flashlight should be fine. You can see the other end of preston brook as you enter. It's a straight run. No bends as such. I'll be in the boat behind nightwatch. Just been through also. ...go through on the hour...about fifteen mins to exit other end. You'll be fine. No junior...no lights. Just a clock painted on a board
  8. We're on the way up to Chester too. Looks like it's going to be busy. Worsley at the moment.
  9. Cleans all the crap off the hull too.
  10. He had to fill a coupke of locks at the bottom of wigan. you will also...not fixed yet.
  11. I take it that was you at plank lane swing bridge on xmas eve I was the one on the center line after letting cart man over to re set the bridge. Have a good trip..
  12. As said. Grinder with 1mm disc...try a flapper disc if it's only a couple of mm
  13. I would stick with what you have. 5 years is excellent.
  14. I took 12 - 600x600x50mm flags out. the boat lifted enough to leave around 40mm clear under the gas locker vents at the front. The back lifted around the same. I didn't weigh the slabs but would estimate about 540kg of ballast out. Around the same as my batteries and sofa. No difference that we have noticed in roll/stability. Also nice and dry under there. If I need to add any in future, I may go down the cans of cider route
