  1. Hi, I purchased a ST2 with fwd / rev / reduction gearbox as I needed an engine. Looking at the gearbox the brass plate states that it is an SL3 gearbox - I was expecting it to be a LM100. It fits per a LM in all manners but, I have not had one before. Where does such a gearbox fit into the Lister fwd / rev gearbox range? I guess while typing does anyone need one? What is the going rate for one? Mike 07902 924007
  2. Hi, I do spend some time on this type of engine as they crop up - just delivered a lovely Lister Blackstone FR2 a couple of weeks ago for fitting in a canal boat. I have broken a few engines and may have some spares (limited of course for these engines) and have made up the tools for cylinder head and liner pulling and can travel if required. Somewhere in the LB stuff I have I seem to recall some charts for sorting some of these things out, patience will be needed as it may take some time to dig out - also it may apply to marine use only. 3. Hi, Probably sorted by now. But, Nothing to do with exhaust valve it is as has been said the compression changover valve internals, run on high/start. Unfortunately with these engines because they are a bit odd(even for Listers) be very very careful with advice. Just to let you know I'm ex Listers (too young for FR's though) and I am right by the Sharpness / Gloucester ship canal in Cam, next door to where it was made in Dursley. I have the special tool/tools needed and some spare parts as I fiddle with these. Mike 07902 924007
  4. Hi all, thought that this information might be of help on this topic: I have had remade the special Lister tool for removing the combustion plug on Lister FR's, also I have made an extractor to remove the changover valve body/spool as sometimes they can be difficult to remove due to carboning up. Available to purchase Mike michaelmaxwell@live.co.uk
  5. Richard - you are correct! I now have Messenger on my dropdown.
  6. Gents thanks for the information. However I am seemingly unable to PM. The help information says 'The personal messenger can be used to have private conversations with other members. To access it, select your username while logged in from the top corner of any page, and then press "Messenger".' However clicking on my username at the top right comes up with ' My Profile, My Settings, My Content, Manage Friends and manage Ignored users' Help
  7. I'm just after a set of standard 'industrial' feet for an FR4 I have to pick up - it has no feet on it and its very unstable just sitting on its sump. Mike
  8. H, I'm looking for a few parts for a Lister FR - I have been given the name of a contact Paul Aldridge but no contact details. Does anyone have them/ Mike
